Spider-Man coming to Marvel's Cinematic Universe

Last night it was announced that everyone's favorite web-head would be coming to Marvel's Cinematic Universe.

Sony Pictures and Disney have came to an agreement that would allow Spider-Man to be a part of Marvel's universe.

Under the deal, the new Spider-Man will first appear in a Marvel film from Marvel's Cinematic Universe. It could be Avengers 2 as a tease, it could be Captain America 3: Civil War.

Sony Pictures will thereafter release the next installment of the Spider-Man franchise, on July 28, 2017,
Sony and Marvel studios will be working together to make this movie, with Sony having final creative control.

This is great news for comic fans, and movie fans alike.

For YEARS I've been hoping to see Spider-Man that Sony would sell Disney/Marvel the rights back to Spider-Man just so we can see him in the Avengers.

It's so far unclear whether or not Andrew Garfield will reprise his role of Spider-Man, but it's very likely that it will once again be rebooted.

Another reboot is a small price to pay.
Sorry, Andrew.

With Spidey coming to Marvel's Cinematic Universe, their release dates have been shifted.

Doctor Strange – November 4, 2016
