Super Smash Bros. 3DS Demo Review

So about a week and a half ago Nintendo sent me some demo codes for the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros.
After giving the extra codes away to my friends and people who asked nicely, I decided to play it...
And since the public demo was released last Friday, I figured I'd finally share my thoughts on it.

But before I do that...
  • Battle Mode is the only mode
  • Final Destination is the only stage
  • There are only five playable characters (Mario, Link, Pikachu, the Villager, and Mega Man)

So my thoughts?
It's fun.
That's it.

But all jokes aside, it is truly a fun game.
Sure I'm judging from what I played in a demo, but it did it's job and got me excited for October 3rd.

It's on the 3DS so there's a lot to get used to. Mainly the controls and the screen size.
There's a reason why the characters have a dark border around them.
It's so they're easier to see while playing.

Once you get used to it, you'll have fun...
Don't expect a super competitive game,
Expect a fun way to kill some time.

This isn't Melee, it isn't Brawl... It's the 3DS demo version for SSB4.

With that said, I do expect the WiiU version to be a lot better.
Handheld versions of Console games are hard to do right and don't do the console version Justice.

In this case, I think Nintendo, HAL Labs, and Namco did a great job and I can't wait to play the full game.

Mega Man was as awesome as I expected, the Villager was also fun to play as and may become part of my character rotation.

October 3rd can't come any sooner and should hold me over... At least until ORAS come out.
